Faith's 02nd Birthday Celebration - 27th Nov 2010 Saturday

Celebrating Baby Faith's 02nd Birthday to day...it's an earlier celebration coz her actual day is a weekday (01st Dec 2010 Wednesday). It should be a happy occassion but the thought of how my dad responded to it was a total disappointment...i've never seen such an unreasonable & petty person. He better pray for good health otherwise he'll be lonely in his old age...whatever, talking about him just spoils my mood. He should be the one feeling sore & not us...

Some photos of the kiddos...auntie Jes & family came over, my sister+rhy & bro+joy...& the sumptuous meal darling has prepared for our little princess...Thank You Daddy ^_^

The Salvation Army ChildCare Centre Graduation & Year End Concert 20th November 2010

It's the time of the year again but this year is a little different...Isaac is graduating ^_^ Yezzz, he'll be in P1 in year 2011 & Isaiah is participating in this years' concert. Daddy isn't around to attend the ceremony as he's away in Rockhampton, Australia for his reservist but Faith is at the concert with me. Here's some of the pictures taken as well as video clips of the boys' performances.

It is so heartwarming to see the kids performed. When I see Isaac walking upstage receiving his certificate, I feel so proud, near to tears...it is happiness beyond description & I really hope there'll be another convocation of his in perhaps 2 decades down the road, seeing him in his graduation gown, receiving his certificate then again :)

It's a Public Holiday...17th Nov 2010, Wed - Hari Raya Haji BUT without Daddy around :(

Today is a Public Holiday, Hari Raya Haji...the difference is Daddy is not with us...he's been away for coming 2 weeks, we Really miss you dearly :(

Baby Faith hasn't been feeling too good since her gastric flu last Saturday. She's not eating well, & she's still feeling rather weak & moody most of the time. She's been crying for whatever reasons God knows...it gets on my nerves to be frank BUT I've to keep constantly remind myself that she's not well, she just wants the attention...cool it!!! I felt very bad everytime I raised my voice to quieten her :(

Despite the chaos & noises the kids created & as a matter of fact that sometimes I have to scream my lungs out to get their attention...I still long to be a Full-Time mommy, I really want to be there for them as & when they need me, I want to be a part of their everyday lives, play, grow & learn with them...because this stage will pass, they'll not stick close to you all the time as they grow...things will change. I've captured 2 videos during dinner time today:

Well Done! Mei Mei...she can feed herself rather well for someone less than 2. She's finally eating again though not that much & well after the episode of gastric flu last Saturday. I'm glad she's able to eat but she's still quite weak, as in she's not her active self...lying down & quiet most of the time. Pray that she'll get better...mei mei jia you!!

Updates on Baby Faith...

Baby Faith woke up feeling feverish...temperature taken @ 37.5degC. Thank God temperature did not go up further...she's not vomitting already but still had loose bowel. Today she's still very lethargic, lying down most of the time & napped 3 times (from her usual once). She kept telling me "tired" tired"...poor gal

She ate a little more today & also started to give her more fluid, water, pedialyte (for diarrhoea children). More as in increased the amount & no more half hourly 2 sips. She's taking it well...Hope she gets better tomorrow...

Amidst all these happenings, all of us really missing daddy badly. Mei Mei looked for papa a few times...she's such a smart gal, when u asked "where's daddy?" she'll reply "Daddy army..." somehow she understood daddy is away :)

Gastric Flu...Poor Gal...suffering

Baby Faith didn't sleep well through the nights, she's been waking up crying & asking me to apply medicated oil on her tummy. Finally awoke at 0625hr, she asked for some milk. I carried her to the kitchen & prepared some milk for her, just as we are going back to the room, I heard her cough abit & some vomitus on hers & my shirt...clean her up abit & thought, don't think it's a good idea for her to drink the milk, so I poured away about a quarter of it knowing that she'll cry & fussed if none was given to her.

So we went back to the room, she lied on the bed drinking her milk...when she finished I lift her head so that she can sit up but after a mere second, she lied back down (perhaps she's very tired)...true enough, once she lied on the pillow, like a Merlion...everything (milk, last night's dinner - porridge & corn) just gushed out of her mouth. I carried her to the toilet & get the maid to change the bedsheet. Baby Faith was given some warm water before cleaning up but everything just came out once she's done with her drinking. Her little tummy couldn't contain anything I suppose. After washing up, she vomitted yet the 04th time - all the warm water she's drunk.

She asked for some warm water, so was given. But again, she vomitted...poor gal, she must be feeling really thirsty :( She fell asleep shortly after these 5 times of vomitting.

After she woke up, with my mother-in-law's advise, gave her a little raw sugar water. She didn't throw up, so thought ay, it worked. She had her breakfast, just a about half of the mantou. She asked for milk, I can't give her her normal milk so gave her about 100ml of soya bean milk. That was at about 1210hr...BUT OMG!!!! Like a Merlion again, EVERYTHING just gushed out of her mouth. I quickly cleaned her up with my mil's help, then rushed her to the Clinic downstairs (clinics are halfdays on Sat, so closes at 1230hr). Yes, we stepped into the clinic at 1225hr, registered & you can actually see the face of one of the clinic assistant, it's like, hello...we are closing in 5 mins, can't you come earlier. All gathered to gossip, I in fact called but the phone was switched to fax already. That was fast huh...What kind of attitude is this???

She was diagnosed with Gastric Flu. Advise was, every half an hour 2 sips of fluid...water, 100+, H2O (isotonic drinks are closest to hospital drips), those who vomits & have diarrhoea needs rehydration, replenishment of fluids & hydrolytes. Control food intake, very little intake at more frequent intervals.

She was prescribed with the following medication: For Vomitting - 1) Dimenate (to take 1 hour before food) 3.5ml, 3 times/ day. 2) Domperidone Suppository (1 supp, 2 times/ day). For Diarrhoea - 3) Loperamide/ Diatrol (3.5ml, 3 times/ day). 4) Lacteol Forte (1/2 sachet, 3 times/ day).

After taking some of the medicine, Baby Faith did not vomit but had loose bowel one more time on the same day. She kept asking for milk which I had to firmly reject. So I had no choice but to purchase a small tin of Soy base Milk Formula for her. Haizzzz....at least she can drink some milk as she's lost her appetite & lethargic most of time. Lying down quietly & fallen asleep more often throughout the day.

Praying that she gets better & hope that at this time, she'll really have a good good rest. Lord, please keep a close watch over Baby Faith & give her the strength to fight the viruses, amen...
